Hi there threadstarter, I have similar problem as u. It is migraine.
my aura attack serves as a symptom to a coming migraine attack. Nausea causing vomiting will follow suit as well. It usually takes me more than half a day to recover.
However these attacks rarely comes. (roughly twice a year)
For me i tried cuttting down on cheese and chocolate consumption.
Looking at glaring lights, eg comp screen at long periods of time might also trigger an attack.
