    • It is clear that the India govt is now pointing to Pakistan govt to take action on militant within Pakistan.

So what is the Singapore MFA position on Pakistan govt?  If the terrorist is indeed operate from Pakistan. Can the family of Ms Lo file a claim in Singapore court?

    • A nice place would be Costa Rica. Cost of living is back in the early 80's.  People are simpler and life style is slow. U can always take a 6 hours flight to miami for medical check up.

    • What is the "Real" Singapore fried noodles?

      Can anyone figure out?

What was the creator of this "name" dish really wanted to replicate " A " unique taste that he/she experienced when he/she was in Singapore?

There are many versions of the Singapore fried noodles out here. A more common acceptance seemed to be fried Vermicelli

When I was a kid, my favorite night snack was a Malay guy pushing a cart frying Mee goreng with bean sprout n egg.  With "half" a small green lime n hot spicy chillies. (macpherson)

Local breaksfast Vermicelli with soya sauce and bean sprout with a sunny side up egg or spam.

A more elaborate fried vermicelli with onions, egg, prawn, chai sew etc.

      The worst kind:

If you ever walk into a HKG or Chinese owner restaurant your Singapore fried noddles most likely taste like this

Fried Been Hoon and throw in bunch of curry powder. And called it Singapore noodle.

I can only speculate to this question.

Could it be a singaporean students who study oversea back in the 70's and was home sick and crank up this stove and fried Vermicelli and since back in the 70's hot food isn;t that common he open his only spicy from Home ---- curry powder. and throw it into the fried Vermicelli/noddles.

And served to all international students. And they CALLED IT -- The Singapore Noddles.

If you have further theory please welcome to share.

i would have prefer that you discuss issue about how singapore and singaporean  cope with this sense of security and the lost of Ms. Lo that is closer to home. Unless you are not in Singapore.

    • i think this type of situation was not planned for, it was clear that this incident caught the central and local govt by surprise. I am not sure how they established their counter terrorist unit across india. They might place their 1st tier in the Capital.  We don't know how they established their command n control. is it decentralized vs centralized especially bare in mind india is such a big country, ethnically diverse.

These terrorists shoot racklessly. They can be easily blend in to local population if they wanted but they choose not to. So in a time compressed decision and a choas situation they did what they do to adapt to this attack.

talk about decision and i don;t mean to mock but look at how we try to catch our allege terrorist.

    • if you start negociate with terrorist and they walk away. the next terrorist target will be much bigger.

Just have to look at Somalia pirates they now go for the bigger price. - Tanker.

The facts that the terrorist taken over multiple hotels. are going to be urgly from this onset. nobody is going to walk out of this incident pretty especially for the indian govt.

I am only surprise they took this long.

The Russian would have pull out everything including gas. They are willing to take the risk of killing percentage of the hostage to get to the terrorist.

    • But you are implying that the American use the same standard to kidnap innocent civilian in a non declared combat zone, held them as human shield, objective is to kill as many as possible. In a non declared war zone.

or u simply ignore Xtryer previous paragraph. Cut a sentence and take it out of contexts and use it to steer this topics?

just to get back to the topics

yes i think it can happen in anywhere this technique of coming onto shore and hit out at multiple target brings a new perspective it is no longer suicide bombers, it is not a hit n run, it  stayed, and killed as many as possible till they drop dead. I don’t think there are  political demands from terrorists.
